New Friday Night Lights Season Two Promo

Less than two weeks to go. Here is NBC's latest promotional ad for Season Two. It's a pretty quality ad that will get you fired up for the premiere ... we like the way it's put together. As we've heard, it looks like some interesting things happen with our favorite characters in the opener of Friday Night Lights October 5.

Classic Friday Night Lights: Friendly Advice

In these funny clips from "Crossing the Line," Landry talks Matt's ear off - first as he prepares for his first date, then after a dejected Matt hangs his head after he thinks he blew his big chance. Jesse Plemons (Landry) reportedly ad-libbed much of the Salvation Army store scene, which is hilarious!

Classic Friday Night Lights: The Drive

Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) may not carry himself like John Elway, but you would not know it by the game-winning drive he leads Dillon on in "Get 'Er Done."

Here's Saracen - spurred on by Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and Mac McGill (Blue Deckert) marching the Panthers down the field to win with no time left.

Classic Friday Night Lights: The Halftime Speech

It's the ultimate motivational push from the ultimate leader. With Dillon getting drubbed in the championship game, it's up to Coach Taylor to give them a reason to fight back. With his impassioned halftime speech in the season finale, "State," he does all that and more. Check it out ...

Classic Friday Night Lights: Then Take It!

In the first game of the season, Jason Street went down, making Matt Saracen QB-1 of the Dillon Panthers. But is he ready to accept that challenge? He's got no choice, and in this scene from "Eyes Wide Open," Coach Eric Taylor does everything he can to inspire confidence and motivate the reluctant leader.

Classic Friday Night Lights: Neighbors

Here's a collection of clips from Episode 19 ("Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes") of Season One of Friday Night Lights featuring Tim Riggins and his new, enthusiastic young neighbor, Bo. There's also Bo's mother, who takes to a liking to Tim, even if in her mind, she knows it's probably not a good idea.

Classic Friday Night Lights: Mother-Daughter Love

From the video archives comes this great, emotional scene from the 17th episode of Season One of Friday Night Lights, "I Think We Should Have Sex."

Tami (Connie Britton) confronts Julie (Aimee Teegarden) about that subject, and the teenager is none too happy. However, through pure strength and will, a worried mother pleads her case. What a good show. Check it out:
