Jesse Plemons, Adrianne Palicki in Barack Obama Video

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has released a new music video aimed at boosting the hopes of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Called "We Are The Ones," it features a pair of Friday Night Lights stars.

Backed by music and the vocal refrain of "O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA!," celebrities such as our own Adrianne Palicki and Jesse Plemons - along with Jessica Alba, Ryan Phillippe, Kerry Washington, George Lopez and many others - offer reasons why they support Barack Obama. The candidate's voice can also be heard.

It's very cool. Check it out here ...

Adrianne Palicki: A Natural at Defensive End

Adrianne Palicki balances her natural beauty with plenty of sass, attitude and toughness as Tyra Collette on Friday Night Lights. The photo of Palicki below - appearing in Maxim, and taken from the Dillon powderpuff football clash in Season One - certainly exemplifies this about her character.

Displaying textbook defensive lineman form - reminiscent of Michael Strahan - Adrianne Palicki looks poised to burst through the line and sack quarterback Lyla Garrity (Minka Kelly). Of course, a vendetta against the other team never hurts if you need some extra motivation. Check out this photo ...

Adrianne Palicki to Star in "The Stepfather"

With two seasons of Friday Night Lights and numerous other TV roles under her belt, the lovely Adrianne Palicki is building quite the resume. Now she's added a new movie role to her upcoming list of work projects.

According to Variety, Nip/Tuck's Dylan Walsh will star in the remake of the 1987 thriller The Stepfather. Sela Ward and Penn Badgley (of Gossip Girl fame) will reportedly round out the family tree, with Friday Night Lights beauty Adrianne Palicki also in negotiations to secure a role in the horror project.

The Stepfather is (and will be) an Alfred Hitchcocki-style suspense thriller that revolves around a teenage boy's relationship with his psychotic stepfather.

Things take a turn for the worse when the boy (Penn Badgley) discovers that his new dad may have killed his previous family. Sela Ward will star as the mom, while Adrianne Palicki will play Badgley's girlfriend. Sounds like fun!

Adrianne Palicki Discusses Tyra Collette, Friday Night Lights

Adrianne Palicki already had a pretty nice resume - the original Kara on Smallville back in 2004, Sam's ill-fated girlfriend on Supernatural, a gig on South Beach and a guest shot on CSI. But then she landed the role of sweet, but troubled bad girl Tyra Collette on the acclaimed Friday Night Lights.

Below, Adrianne Palicki gives iF Magazine a look at what's new in Dillon, Texas, including Tyra's part in covering up the murder of her stalker...

iF: What are the changes for your character on Friday Night Lights this year?

Adrianne Palicki: I think everything, all the characters, have evolved. Everything started out in a very black and white area and it's continuing to get more and more gray. It's just so exciting to watch, because nothing is what it seems on our show and Tyra is one of those characters that has completely evolved and come full circle.

iF: When you were cast the show, did you think, "This could be a phenomenon?"

Adrianne Palicki: Well, on paper, it wasn't necessarily the most amazing script I'd ever read, but watching the Pilot, every single one of us was just blown away watching it and it was just the most amazing thing we'd ever seen.

iF: Has being in Friday Night Lights increased your interest in/awareness of football, the people who support football?

Adrianne Palicki: I'm from Ohio and I grew up loving football, so that's always been a part of my life.

iF: Tyra gets involved in a very deep problem this season. Did the producers discuss this with you and say, ‘What do you think about this?'

Friday Night Lights Stars Up for "Super" Roles

A trio of Friday Night Lights stars - Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki (pictured) and Scott Porter - are among the host of young faces currently taking part in director George Miller's casting session for Justice League of America.

According to TV Guide, Miller has some 40 up-and-comers on his radar for the comic book-based film, which is looking to fill the roles of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.

Others on yesterday and today's short list include Adam Brody (The OC), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Grindhouse), Michael Anganaro (Will & Grace), Teresa Palmer (Wolf Creek) and rapper Common.

Get Ready For a Sexier Friday Night Lights

Get ready for the small town of Dillon, Texas, to start looking more like Dallas now that NBC's Friday Night Lights is back for a second season.

That means a lot more skin and scandal, observes William Keck of USA Today, and numerous others who have previewed the Season Two debut.

"There are a large number of shower scenes," star Adrianne Palicki, 24, says with an uncomfortable giggle. Her character, Tyra Collete, is first seen in the season premiere licking a popsicle suggestively. Control yourselves, guys.

"We've also had a couple of (nude) scenes in the locker room," adds Adrianne's co-star, Jesse Plemons, 19, whose social outcast character, Landry Clarke, has just reluctantly joined the high school football team.

"The good thing is that Landry's not really okay with taking his clothes off — unlike Tim Riggins (played by Taylor Kitsch). Taylor has been complaining the most about having to take off his shirt."

Bad Ass Texas Girl

Adrianne Palicki as sexy, sassy Tyra Collette.

No one's complaining, to be sure, about a second chance to prove themselves after a first season that was critically acclaimed but ratings-starved.

Over lunch, both actors acknowledge that the set was somber the day Emmy nominations were announced. Nary a nod went to the underdog drama.

"It was very disappointing," Adrianne Palicki says. "There was a backlash from not getting nominated — people were furious. So that's even cooler, in a way. Look at how many fans were so angry."

"The feeling now," Jesse Plemons adds, "is let's give them even a better show, so there's no way they're going to be able to pass us up."

 The new game plan: less football, more personal struggle.

Among the drama: Adrianne Palicki's Tyra and Jesse Plemons' Landry enter into a secret romance that, Plemons says, "catches both of them off guard."

The unlikely duo — Tyra the Beauty, Landry the Geek — came together when Landry became her tutor, then came to her rescue after an attempted rape.

"I would love for them to be together," Palicki says. "Tyra deserves a good guy."

There's also a stunning plot twist that we won't get into here.

Plemons, a native of Mart, Texas (outside Waco), has been dating a Texas girl for six months who he says is "beautiful — inside and out."

The single Palicki says she has had many Landrys in her life, but as a high school student in Toledo, Ohio, she strictly dated jocks.

"I had Landrys as friends," she says. "The guys you thought you'd marry someday, but you just couldn't date because it wasn't cool. How stupid is that?"

Get Friday Night Lights Stars' Signature Looks

Last week, we brought you pictures of three beautiful Friday Night Lights stars - Adrianne Palicki, Minka Kelly and Connie Britton - from InStyle magazine, which ran a feature on the trio entitled, fittingly, "Friday Night Hair."

They sure do have some nice hair, and here's the article that InStyle ran along with the photos. You can learn how to get their looks!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That is Some Nice Hair When the weekend arrives, it's time to let loose. And that goes for hair too. Here, the women of the NBC drama Friday Night Lights flirt with some of fall's freshest, most festive styles: polished retro waves, a tousled bob and soft, sexy volume.
Adrianne Palicki's tousled bob
In a world full of extensions, this cropped cut feels utterly fresh. "It's messy and sexy, and because it's short, it's easy and fast," says their stylist, Harry Josh.
It's also a nod to Adrianne Palicki's bad-girl role on Friday Night Lights, in which she plays Tyra Collette. "She exudes bombshell," he says.
How to get the Adrianne Palicki look
1. Josh spritzed Adrianne Palicki's dry roots with John Frieda Sheer Blonde Full-Blown Volumizing spray ($6; walgreens.com), then he used a tail comb to give the actress a side part so her hair would drape over one eye.
"Zigzag the part all the way back," he says. "It doesn't make sense to do a straight, clean part with a messy look. It's like an oxymoron."
2. To create seductive waves, Josh used a medium-barrel curling iron on 1- and 1½-inch sections of hair. He haphazardly twisted the iron in alternating directions and left the ends out for a rumpled, undone effect.
3. To finish, Josh asked Palicki to shake her head back and forth while he misted locks with L'Oréal Paris Elnett hairspray ($13; zitomer.com). The result, he says, is "a really glamorous, modern bob."
Minka Kelly's 1940s waves
To break away from the high school cheerleader she plays on the show, Minka Kelly, a natural blonde, swaps her high ponytail for a sultry retro set. "It takes a few systematic steps to achieve, but it's definitely the most glam," Josh says.
Friday Night Spotlight: Adrianne Palicki
In anticipation of Season Two of Friday Night Lights (just under two weeks away), we're taking a look at each of its 10 terrific cast members to help the show's fans learn a little more about them.
Earlier this week, we profiled Jesse Plemons, who plays hilarious outcast Landry Clarke. Today, we'll tell you about the actress who plays Landry's unlikely love interest - the lovely Adrianne Palicki.
Adrianne was born May 6, 1983, in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Whitmer High, and never considered acting until she appeared in a play as a sophomore at Whitmer. She was also the school's runner-up for homecoming queen.
She's not just a beauty, though. In high school, Palicki played basketball and ran track. She tried cheerleading but quit that early in life. Her parents, Nancy and Jeff, still live in West Toledo. Adrianne has one older brother, Eric.
Amazing Adrianne Palicki
After high school, Adrianne skipped college and headed to N.Y. for a modeling and talent competition. Her first projects where short films "Rewrite" and "Getting Rachel Back," where she used her childhood nickname, Annie Palicki.
She officially began going by Adrianne Palicki again in 2003, when she moved to California. Adrianne worked at Togo's as a sandwich maker when she first got to L.A., paying the bills as she tried to break into the business.
Prior to being cast on Friday Night Lights, Palicki appeared in an Aquaman-based WB pilot Mercy Reef as an evil siren, but the pilot was not picked up by The CW.
Other TV credits of hers include Smallville as Kara in the Season Three finale, and Supernatural, where she played Jessica Moore, Sam Winchester's doomed girlfriend, killed by a demon, in its pilot. The character reappears in a Season Two episode, "What is and What Never Should Be."
A blonde beauty, who has blue eyes and strikingly stands at 5'11", Adrianne Palicki ranked #79 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2007 list.
