Bio

Brian "Smash" Williams is the star running back of the Dillon Panthers.

The most talented player (who sure knows it) on the team, #20 is the most likely to succeed beyond the high school football level. It is frequently mentioned (at times by Smash himself) that he is talked about as a recruit at major college programs.

Smash is a charmer who loves the ladies, and the loves attention that he gets through football. A junior with goals of being recruited to a big university and eventually go pro so that he can support his family, the pressure Smash puts on himself often gets the best of him.

His mother, a strong woman, is always watching him. She is a hard-working woman with the best of intentions and the strongest of motivations for keeping Brian and the rest of her children on the right track.

Smash's desperation to get to the next level led him to drastic measures, such as using steroids after he performed poorly in a Panthers game with one major college talent scout in attendance.

Williams' drive to be at the top stems partially from a sizeable ego and gregarious persona, but also because he sees a football career as a "meal ticket" and a means of providing for his family. Brian's dad is deceased and he lives with his mother and two sisters.

Smash is often shown praying with the team or attending church with his family. Prior to the championship game he was approached by Ray "Voodoo" Tatum - briefly brought to Dillon to replace Jason Street before being booted - to change schools.

Williams dislocated his shoulder in the championship game but refuses to sit out in a heroic, selfless performance. Smash went on to score the winning touchdown and secure the Panthers' Texas state championship.
